GENERAL 90 CREDIT HOURS

GEOL 1340 (C+) plus one of GEOL 14001, GEOL 1410, or GEOL 1420

Plus 6 credit hours from the Faculty of Arts

GEOL 2500 plus a further 21 credit hours in Geological Sciences courses numbered at the 2000-level or above

 

Enough elective credit to total 90 credit hours for the program.

The M and W course requirements must be met within the first 60 credit hours of the program.

MINOR GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES 18 CREDIT HOURS

GEOL 1340 and one of GEOL 1400, GEOL 1410, or GEOL 1420

Plus 12 credit hours chosen from 2000- and 3000-level courses

Notes:

1GEOL 1400 is highly recommended to be taken in Year 1, but GEOL 1410 and GEOL 1420 may be substituted. If this requirement is not fulfilled in Year 1, it must be completed by the end of Year 2.

NOTE:

  • To fulfil prerequisite requirements, a grade of 'C' must be achieved in any course stipulated as prerequisite to a further course in Geological Sciences.
  • All courses are not offered every year. The course schedule for the current academic term is available from the Class Schedule
  • Students registering in certain courses may be required to pay a portion of the costs associated with field trips. For details, contact the Department general office.
Equivalent courses offered through Universit√© de Saint-Boniface may be used in lieu of the specified courses identified in the degree program chart. Universit√© de Saint-Boniface courses end in the number '1' (e.g. GEOG 1281).
